Bluestem Builds Home ready for Habitat Partner Family to buy

Community members gathered with Yussuf, Zenab and their children to celebrate with the completion of the second Bluestem Builds Habitat Home in Central Minnesota. CMHFH Board Member Chad Roggeman started off the program and Pastor Leah Rosso from First United Methodist Church gave a blessing. The family was presented handmade quilts from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Quilters. The quilts were a huge hit with the kids who immediately wrapped themselves up in the blankets. Refreshments for the event were generously provided by Church of St. Augustine and Cold Spring Bakery Connection. Maryama, one of the Partner Family kids, said making and eating cupcakes was what she was most looking forward to doing in her new home. Thanks to Cold Spring Bakery Connection, that dream has come true.  Yussuf and Zenab are ready to sign the mortgage papers and purchase the home in April.
