The Habitat 500 is a huge fundraising event for Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity. Each year, a team of riders participates in the 7-day, 500-mile bike ride. Riders raise money for their local Habitat for Humanity. In addition to the 7-day ride, there are options for one-day riders, 3-day riders, individual riders, and team riders.
In 2016, 13 riders raised $23,000 for CMHFH.
The 2017 ride will be in Central Minnesota with a 2-night stop in Sauk Rapids for bike.home where some riders will work at our Build for Unity project. This year’s ride makes stops in Victoria, Hutchinson, Sauk Rapids, Forest Lake, and Cannon Falls.
Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity has 16 riders registered to raise funds for Central Minnesota. Those riders are: Steve Wisniewski-Grzybowski, Shaun Rowley, Loretta Anderson, Jim Parsons, Michaela Roske, Mark Huseth, Jon-Scott Johnson, Lucy Thomas, Mike Dorle, Bea Winkler, Bobby Youngdahl, Steve Reetz, Lynn Schurman, Susie Dorle, Matt Chapman, and Eileen Bitzan.
