Lanette Fitzpatrick

Just about to move into her first house, Lanette Fitzpatrick was informed that she would be losing her job. Without that job, she wouldn't be able to buy her home anymore, and she was devastated. Her life significantly changed when someone recommended Habitat for Humanity as an option. After applying and waiting patiently, Lanette found out she would be a homeowner for the first time. "My daughter and I were jumping up and down in tears," she said.
Lanette and her 13 year old daughter Brianna have lived in Elk River for fourteen years and love it. Together, they enjoy time at the beach or the park, rollerblading and share the love of music. Brianna
enjoys drawing, watching movies and dancing.
Lanette has a passion for animals, being outside and she describes herself as an "honest, fun-loving type of gal." She is looking forward to all of the benefits of being a homeowner, giving her a space to garden and let her dogs run around. She believes that owning a home for the first time will help her pursue her goals of going back to school and someday opening her own pet kennel.
Lanette is currently working hard on her sweat equity hours and we are eager to welcome her as a homeowner!
