After 6 year old Ella was told by her mom Sheena that they had been approved to purchase a house through Habitat for Humanity, she had one word, “Awesome!” Sheena is most excited about having a place of their own where they can grow their own vegetables and become part of a neighborhood. Sheena thinks having fresh vegetables will help them eat healthier, save money and help her blog Hot Eats and Cool Reads, which she hopes one day to be a full time job. Until then she works as an Office Manager for a tractor repair company. Ella can’t wait to paint her room and someday become a teacher.
Sheena is excited for the opportunity to become a homeowner and says, “Thank you so much for this opportunity. Without Habitat for Humanity, I would probably never be a homeowner. This will change our lives.”
Sheena closed on her home December 20th, 2013.
