Thrivent Builds

Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is an alliance that puts the faith of the community into action to help families in need move into the economic mainstream and put an end to poverty housing.  Volunteers work in local communities to help build simple, decent, affordable homes.  More than two-thirds of the funding for each home will be contributed by Thrivent Financial and its members. The remaining funding will be raised through the ongoing efforts of local congregations, faith communities, business sponsors, and individuals. To learn more, visit

Veterans Build

Our newest project will make possible home ownership for a U.S. Military veteran and his/her family. Utilizing the basic criteria for partnerships that our other builds require, we look forward to building an accessible and affordable home in the St. Cloud area for a military veteran and family. This first build has become a reality due to the generosity of MidCountry Bank and the many corporate participants in Jacobs Financial Annual Swing for Charity golf tournament! Our vision is that this will be the first of a series of such builds benefiting, and largely constructed by, the Veteran community in our area. Please join us in doing the right thing for those who have given themselves in service to our country.

Tiger Build

In partnership with Tech High School and community sponsors, students learn valuable skills through the building of a Habitat home throughout the school year on campus. The home is then moved to a lot when school is done in the spring or early summer. Our third such build is almost complete and ready for our Parnter Family to purchase and occupy! On the site of Tech HS, our 4th school build is well underway and can be seen from Division Street, built in partnership with the St. Cloud School District, Tech Community College, and various sponsors.
