Last week culminated with a powerful milestone. On Thursday, April 24th, a 10-person family received the keys to their new home in St. Joseph, Minnesota, as Hawa and Hussein purchased their home. The five-bedroom, two-bathroom home was generously donated by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict and fully rehabilitated by CMHFH. This home exemplifies the power of faith in action through partnership and compassion, with almost 200 individual volunteers participating.
Hawa and Hussein are excited to be part of the St. Joseph community, this time as homeowners, after previously renting an apartment there. They are looking forward to having a yard for their children to play in and a place to grow a garden to feed their family and friends.
